Balkis Chaabane is an award-winning Tunisian leader and advocate with extensive experience in peace and security, youth-led advocacy, and decolonization across the Middle East and Africa. As the Founder and Executive Director of Youth Transforming Narratives, she leads the first youth-led movement dedicated to advancing youth inclusion in peace and security.. Her professional background includes roles with the UN, USIP, IREX, WYA, USAID, and more, where she has trained hundreds of activists and scaled youth inclusion in global governance. Balkis has a Master of Arts in International Affairs from the Lebanese American University, and a Master of Advanced Studies in Transitional Justice, Human Rights, and International Law from the Geneva Academy. Recognized globally for her impact, she received the 2024 Global Women Power Leaders Award.
