The Youth, Peace and Security (YPS) Team empowers young people around the world to play active roles in promoting peace, preventing conflict, and addressing the root causes of violence in their communities. The YPS team is also responsible for facilitating YTN’s Community of Practice (CoP), which brings together emerging and established young leaders, peacebuilders, researchers, and activists from around the world to critically interrogate colonial legacies and to co-create alternative narratives that are inclusive, just, and rooted in lived realities. Grounded in the goal of establishing YTN as a key player in advancing UN Security Council Resolution 2250 on Youth, Peace and Security (2015), the YPS team elevates the potential of young people as catalysts for positive change, building sustainable peace from the ground up.
