Executive Summary
In two years, YTN grew from a launch at the 2024 ECOSOC Youth Forum into a volunteer-led global movement for youth-led work on the decolonization of peace and security, publishing 49 pieces of policy briefs, articles and op-eds, research and advocacy, running programs that drew nearly 1,750 direct participants from over 100 countries, and building a core team of 42 volunteers across 24 countries. We pride ourselves for the wide representation that we offer: roughly 60% of participants are women, and about 90% of engagement comes from the Global Majority, including youth from Sudan, Yemen, Syria, Afghanistan, DR Congo, and a dozen other conflict-affected countries.
